The Study Programme

Something that I would have liked to change my study program is the emphasis that the University puts on the technical quality of teaching Film and TV, since it lacks elements or subjects that put into practice the few technical skills that are delivered.

The first years of study are very interesting, the first year is far the year in which I learned the most, especially using the camera and different technical elements such as the tripod and editing programs.

After the second year with the photography course, except for those who dedicate themselves to it, the practical subjects are finished and the knowledge about the use and configuration of the camera is stalled and in many cases they are forgotten, it is from there where Responsibility rests with the student, however the university can not abandon the order of practical use of knowledge for all its students.

The problem is that you learn a little bit and very superficially, which is useful to be able to know the different areas of cinema and be able to choose with a greater criterion to which to draw but at the same time it is negative in the sense that the courses of Specialization at the end of the educational program are very short.

It is clear that the greatest responsibility lies with the student, but it is also true that the pedagogy and the educational program are completely unconcerned after

Language Challenges

Learning English is very difficult if you do not practice it regularly, so I agree with you, Professor, the biggest challenge is definitely patience.

I do not think the problem is the fear of pronunciation, maybe if it is in public, but if you do not feel safe, with all the means to learn it is not drama to get home and find out how a certain word is pronounced in English and from there feel safe to do well. The problem is the dedication to do that.

It is much easier to speak Spanish because it is our mother tongue and it is difficult to leave it, and even more so when everyone around you speaks that language, for which I feel it is also very important to generate spaces where peer communication is in English , but this also needs time and dedication.

Like the teacher I think that everything in life, with enough dedication, is possible to learn, especially a language with which we live every day through the Anglo-Saxon cinematographic cultural production that invades our cinema and small screen, all the days we hear words in English, the problem is to get rid of the subtitles and understand the grammar and semantics of the language, and learning the logic with which everything works is facilitated.

Summer Holidays

I'm not really exciting about my summer holidays, I dont have more plans for this vacations,  I preffer dedicated to myself in many things that I have postponed for the University. The subject dont let me do that I want to do with the necesary time to do.

This time I dont want to travell, I wanna stay in my house here in Santiago with my family and friends. Every summer I'm going to other countries with my best friend and I lose the possibility to spend time with my dearest ones, so this summer I take the desicion of not leave my city and my country.

Besides during the trips I dont have much time to do the things that I have pending like; learn to drive and get the license, go to the gym and work to give a gifts to my parents and buy something new things for my, like clouth or wathever. And, of course, achieve to speak much better English.

If I meet all my personal goals this summer and the following year everythings works well, I should be able to get some well-deserved vacations that I need a while ago.

Strangest Dream

I usually not dreaming, when I sleep, I fall into the deepest dream and never remember was it. I preffer think was it a dream in wich I was on my future life like a great men that who is a succesfull person. Now that I think about it I am a person that dreaming while awake.

Really I try to remember my dreams but harder I do I dont know that was dreaming.
I guess it´s because there are some theories that say when the people are dreaming their brain is working so hard that they never can remember that they dreamed, because the consciouness is sleeping and gives way to their subconscious and is this one that begins to build our dreams.

I personally think that they are a real manifestation of our subconscious. That our conscience throught them of our good and bad actions and also that they can warn us about future things.

When I travell to my University o my home I usually imagine things that can happen controlling what happens in my favor I work like my sunconscious in that sense, I preffer that.

Finally I really want can remember a dream because they talk a lot about my own scares and desires too. I could know more about myself.

Post-Graduates Studies

I have not really thought about higher education, buy I worry about finding a job in the future, buy if I ever get the opportunity I would prefer it to be in a some foreign country.

I would like to have a post-graduate degreein film but I am also very interested in philosophy, specially thinking that I would also like to do classes, philosophy is a good element to open to reflection of other. And this can be directly related to the cinema perfectly, have much in common, there are tremendously philosophical films and philosophies that are based on cinematography.

First of all I would like to find a good job and be able to live by the movies, without having to live my country.

My Future Job

I stydy Film and TV and sincerely do not know if I dedicate myself in the future to this profession, especially beacause in Chile there is not film industry and the possibilities of creating and living it are very scarce.

I have noticed lately that I am very passionate about the teather, I am doing a street work at the moment at the experience is much more intense than making films. I think it because its a constant job a not just for a few weeks. There is also much more freedom to use the body

I also plan to do a pedagogy, I really like to teach, I like the possibilities of showing children the many perspective that exist in the world and can express themselves.

But if you ask me today what do you want to do in the future? I only thinks that life leads me on the right path. Cinema, theather o pedagogy time will tell.

My Favourite Film Ending

FIGHT CLUB

¡Oh! Is really dificult think in a favourite film end usually I think in a favourite movie, but and end? Fortunately mi favourite film ending matches my favourite movie: Fight Club. This is one of the main reasons why I like the movie so much.

The movie started with a character whose name we never know during the film. This character, interpreted by Edward Norton, is a decadent persons who attends a group of terapies for addict o patients witn no reasons other than consolation, the plot changes with his know to Marla Singer persons who discovers him and play the same game. Because it our character moves away from these group and meets Tyler Durden, misterious character, interpreted by Brad Pitt.

This encounter completely changes the life of our protagonist as Tyler will lead him to create the Fight Club. We soon se the Edward Norton character engaged in an anarchist and criminal organization over wich he has no control, just then, without warning, Tyler Durden disappears. The our protagonist begins to realize that they call him Tyler. At that momento you realize that all the suspicions that you had during the film beginnins to elucidate.

Tyler appears in front of our protagonist and tells the whole truth: both were always the same person, Tyler was a creation of his mind, his alter ego, and everything that supposedly Tyler had done was actually performed by our protagonist.

This is why I love this movie so much because its show of representations of our more repressed desires and how to released them can become great, comic and at the same time tragic, without that end the movie would not be that it pretends to be.

My Favourite Series

True Detective

Really I dont have much time to watching series regulary, everytime I started to someone series I never can finished the season. Is really, really frustating especially when the series is in the most exciting part. Happened to me with Breaking Bad I still can not finish watching the fifth season.

The only serie that I have finished, and that's why it's my favourite, is True Detective, is a serie of the police genre that tell the story og how two detective begin the search for a murderer of children, the protagonists are the actores: Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, the first interprest to the detective Rust, extraordinary character nihilist with a much more reflective look of life. His reflection often leave you pensive.On the other hand his partner Woody Harrelson is a much more instintive person who gets carried away by his emotions. Both represent the duality of human being. A relationship that will be present throughouth the series and will be constantly stressed.

Throughout the season you never knowwho is guilty of the crimes until the last chapter when the plot gives an unexpected twist and the case is resolved and also the internal conflicts of the characters. In short is a great series to see.

Travell to Cabo de Hornos

Today I will talk about my best holidays, because I go to the concert only one time in my life, the last March to the Chilean Rock Cumbre.

My best holidays ever was it when I travel to the south of Chile and Argentina, to the Patagonia and Fire Land. The especial situation of this travel it was how I can arrive to there, I can travel thanks to my finger, specifically my thumb. I was do it “mochileando” with my best friend Nicolas Araya, bouth from Antofagasta, that was a place we started the travel. Two months is the time that we were travelling.

We know many people, all very kind, they gave us food and places to sleep. No like Santiago. Chile have many beautiful places that the people do not know. Thanks to their helps we can arrive to Cabo de Hornos, a magic place, very cold, but with many many biodiversity and his people is wonderful also they give us shelter I am very grateful to all the people I met.

Syria

Pain.

The country I most want to see in the world, right now, is Syria, because I would like to help all the people who are suffering from the terrible war that marked the years in that place. It gives me great sadness in a country so beautiful where the civilization of Sumeria and Mesopotamia habited this destroyed by the economics interest of the world powers.

A war involving the United States, Russia, Bashar Al Assad (his current president) with his government, Kurds and the Islamic State. Where in the end those who end up suffering all these are the Syrian families and I give so many angry as children die trying to emigrate to other countries.

I have always been draw to the cultural diversity of the Arabian countries, the Muslim religion; divided in Shiies and Sunnies, their clouths, language and ethnicity. I considered that all Arabia and his people are beautiful, except for the picture on the right side. I would really like  to help bring peace to that country. Syria Fredom.
